FEBRUARY 2013 Grisha Goryachev - Our first flamenco guitarist at Three Stages was once a 10-year-old prodigy dazzling Russian television audiences and now is a mature touring artist with lightning speed and a mission to share his interpretations of the great masters of flamenco. A native speaker in Russian, he delighted Russian speaking school students at Mills Middle School, where a good 20% speak the language, as he briefly addressed them in their native tongue, as demonstrated to a pack auditorium what can be done on the guitar. See our Appreciation Gallery for some letters and reactions to his Sacramento visit.

Julio Reyes brought his lecture demo on the life and music of Agustín Barrios Mangoré  to our monthly meeting at CSUS Capistrano Hall (3rd Sunday monthly, 3pm) as well as the guitar class at Folsom High School and CSUS.
