II. Business
Daniel Roest called the business meeting to order at 3:05 P.M. 

1.SGS has produced a new CD with 22 songs by 14 Sacramento Guitar Society artists. The CD is 76 minutes. It is free to new members, or $10 today at the meeting.
2.SGS playing at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 14th and N Streets, Sacramento. The date is September 1, 2010 from noon to 1 PM. Tell people about the concert. 
3.Upcoming Meeting Highlights: 
a.September 19—Goyette Guitar Center Demonstration 
b.October 16, (Saturday)--Ashwin Krishna, Second place at June 2010 Guitar Foundation of America International Competition Junior Division held in Austin, Texas
c.December 19--SGS Holiday Party. Bring your guitars!
d.January 16--Matt Grasso 
e.February 20-- Giacomo Fiori
f.March 20--Wu Love, winner of the Sierra Nevada Competition
4.We need help making CDs on a Word File.  Contact Daniel Roest for help. We hope to get about 50 CDs made for the concert on September 1 at the Westminster Church. This is a great opportunity to add new members and donors to our society.

​JUNE 2011 Waylin Carpenter presented a workshop on guitar building at the June Meeting

MAY 2011​   Muriel Anderson and Raughi Ebert of Germany's Tierra Negra gave two sold out shows in the new Three Stages at Folsom Lake College in the 200 seat Studio Theater.

David Rogers from Oregon was our featured artist at our 3rd Sunday monthly meeting at Christ Community Church.

APRIL 2011  SGS hosted guitar societies from California to Canada  with the WEST COAST GUITAR SOCIETIES WEEKEND 

​MARCH 2011  Wu Love,Sierra Nevada Guitar Competition (Junior Division) winner and student of Scott Cmiel, was our featured artist at our March meeting.

FEBRUARY 2011  Giacomo Fiore was our featured artist at our February meeting.

JANUARY 2011 Matthew Grasso, composer and Extended 7-string guitarist, was our featured artist at our January meeting.

DECEMBER 2010 
2010 concluded with a Holiday Party at the Roest Residence in Folsom. 

NOVEMBER 2010  The Micah Dunn and John Smart duo from Lake Tahoe got snowed in and could not make the meeting. 

OCTOBER 2010 Ashwin Krishna, Sierra Nevada Guitar Competition (Junior Division) winner and student of Scott Cmiel , was our featured artist at our October meeting.

SEPTEMBER 2010 9/7/10: Breaking News! We are now a 501(c)(3) charity!!!!
The next monthly Meeting of the Sacramento Guitar Society will be Sunday, September 19th, 2010 at 3pm, at Christ Community Church in Carmichael.
Featured presenters will be Warren Haskell from Chico, CA, and Richard Goyette from Paradise, CA presenting Goyette Guitars.
Sacramento Guitar Society presented a Music At Noon Concert Series concert at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Sacramento, Sept. 1st. See photos and video links on right.
