SATURDAY SEPTEMBER  12, 7PM
DANIEL ROEST AND ALEX DE GRASSI - IN CONCERT,
LICK OBSERVATORY, MT. HAMILTON, CA

Hello All -

The 'World Famous Shingle Springs Opera House' (and its proprietors) are currently enjoying a Sabbatical, following visits from four great artists in the first four months of 2009.

Please keep in mind the remaining two dates of this year, as well as the recently-booked first date of 2010.

Doug Smith - Saturday, August 8, at 7:30 PM
Grammy Winning and National Champion Fingerstyle Guitarist.  Doug is one of the Opera House's regulars and we are pleased to have him back for his third consecutive year.  If you're not acquainted with Doug, please check him out at www.dougsmithguitar.com.  Look for an announcement email in early July.

Mack Bailey and Rachel Levy - Saturday, November 7 at 7:30 PM
We are very excited to have booked our first ever non-solo act.  (We'll need to borrow or buy a better sound system!)  Mack and Rachel are a delightful husband & wife folk singing duo.  We were not acquainted with them until recently, but they were recommended to us by someone whose judgment we trust very much, i.e., Pete Huttlinger.  Mack sings not only with Rachel, but he is also one of the current members of the legendary folksinging trio, The Limeliters.  Check them out at www.mackbailey.com.  An email for this date will go out around October 1st.

Mark Hanson - Saturday, February 13, 2010.  Time TBA.
Fingerstyle Guitar Wizard Mark Hanson will be forever remembered as the Opera House's original artist.  Mark will return for his fourth visit at his customary time, i.e., the weekend following Super Bowl.  Mark has completely thrilled all prior audiences, and he just gets better very time out.  Mark's web address is www.accentonmusic.com.  We'll be taking reservations shortly after the New Year Holiday.

Thanks to everyone who supports great acoustic music in the Sierra Foothills.

As always, please let us know if you don't care to receive any more emails about house concerts.

Thanks -

David & Lynne Thomasdcthomas@directcon.net
